Privacy Policy

COUNT is a personal finance app operated by Fahmi Omer ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.
What we collect
- Account information. Your email address and name, provided by the sign-in method you choose (Google, Apple, or email), and a unique account identifier.
- Financial data. When you connect a bank through Plaid, we receive and store your account names, balances, and transaction history (merchant, amount, date, category). We never see or store your banking credentials — those go directly to Plaid.
- Content you create. Budgets, category corrections, account nicknames, and your conversations with Bill, including facts and commitments you ask Bill to remember.
- Device data for notifications. If you enable notifications, a push token that identifies your device to Apple's push service.
- Waitlist information. If you join the waitlist on this site: your name, email, and any optional details you choose to share.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not use your data to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
How your data is used
Solely to run the app: showing balances and spending, computing budgets, answering your questions through Bill, and sending you notifications you have enabled. Bill's answers are generated by a language model that is sent the minimum financial context needed to answer.
Service providers
- Plaid connects your bank accounts (Plaid's privacy policy).
- Supabase provides authentication and database hosting.
- Amazon Web Services hosts our backend.
- Groq processes Bill's AI requests.
- Apple processes subscriptions and push notifications.
- RevenueCat manages subscription status.
- Vercel hosts this website.
Security
Bank connection tokens are encrypted at rest. All traffic uses TLS. Data is scoped to your account and never visible to other users.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from inside the app: Settings → Delete Account. Deletion removes your bank connections, transactions, budgets, conversations, memories, and account record. This is immediate and irreversible. To be removed from the waitlist, email us.
